Subprocessors
Last updated April 27, 2026
Thinkverse engages the third-party service providers ("subprocessors") listed below to help operate the Service. We require each subprocessor to handle data in accordance with our Data Processing Addendum and applicable law. The "Shares student data" column indicates whether the subprocessor may receive student personal information. This page is updated whenever subprocessors are added, removed, or replaced.
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Shares student data | Location | Privacy policy | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OpenAI | AI tutor responses When a student sends a message or uploads work, that content is forwarded to OpenAI's API so the model can generate the tutor's reply. We do not send student profile or roster data. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| Google Cloud (Vertex AI) | AI tutor responses Generates AI tutor replies using Google's Gemini models and Anthropic's Claude (which Google hosts on Thinkverse's behalf). Student messages and uploads are forwarded to the API; no student profile or roster data is sent. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| RunPod | Tutor voice and avatar video Renders the AI tutor's spoken voice and animated avatar from the text the tutor is about to say. Only that text is sent — no student account information is included. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| Replicate | Text-to-speech and generated images Turns AI tutor text into audio and generates supporting images. Only the text or prompt being processed is sent — no student account information. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| Firebase (Google) | Sign-in and file storage Powers Thinkverse's secure sign-in, stores chat sessions, and holds files students upload during a lesson. A core part of the platform's data layer. | Yes | United States | View ↗ | |
| Clever | School rostering and single sign-on Schools that use Clever can roster students into Thinkverse in one click and give them a single sign-on button. Student names and class assignments flow from Clever to Thinkverse — not the other way around. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| ClassLink | School rostering and single sign-on The ClassLink counterpart to the Clever integration. Districts using ClassLink can roster students and offer single sign-on; student information flows from ClassLink to Thinkverse — not the reverse. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| Neon | Main application database The primary database where account profiles, lesson progress, assignment results, and other ongoing student records are stored. | Yes | United States | View ↗ | |
| Sentry | Error monitoring Detects errors and slow pages so our engineers can fix them. Captures the error message, the page where it occurred, and technical details about the device. No Thinkverse user identifier is attached to error reports. | United States | View ↗ | ||
| Amplitude | Product analytics Helps us understand which features students use and where they get stuck so we can improve the product. Records a Thinkverse user ID alongside in-app actions like “started a lesson” or “finished a problem.” | Yes | United States | View ↗ | |
| Resend | Transactional email Delivers operational emails — like password resets and account notifications — to teachers, school staff, and parents. | No | United States | View ↗ | |
| Vercel | Web hosting Hosts the Thinkverse website and application. Every request to thinkverse.co passes through Vercel before reaching our other services. | Yes | United States | View ↗ | |
| Mathpix | Math image-to-text Reads handwritten or photographed math problems and converts them into digital text so the tutor can work with them. Only the image is sent — no student account information is attached. | No | United States | View ↗ | |
| Mailchimp | Teacher newsletters When a teacher or school-staff account is created, their contact details are added to a Mailchimp list so they receive product updates and onboarding emails. Not used for student email. | No | United States | View ↗ | |
| HubSpot | Sales contact records Stores contact information for teachers and school administrators who have requested a demo or contacted our team. Not used for student information. | No | United States | View ↗ |
Schools and districts that have signed a Data Processing Addendum with Thinkverse will be notified of material changes to this list in accordance with the DPA. For questions, email support@thinkverse.co.
